The 1st International Ceramic Sculpture Triennale Poland ICST
The 1st International Ceramic Sculpture Triennale Poland ICST is an open, international competition for artists from all over the world working in the matter of ceramics. This initiative is the only and very first event of this kind in Poland. The establishment of the ICST is a response to the needs and aspirations of the ceramic artistic community, it is also a step towards fulfilling the expectations of the art audience. The central event of the MTRC is the international exhibition of the shortlisted participants held, and the selection of the Competition Winners by the International Jury. The aim of the Competition is to provide an overview of European and worldwide ceramic sculpture, to present current trends and endeavours in contemporary artistic ceramics as well as to elevate the significance and potential of ceramic matter. The Triennale is held by the International Ceramic Sculpture Triennale Association.
AIMS
- a periodic confrontation of contemporary artistic attitudes in ceramic matter
- overview of European and worldwide ceramic sculpture
- presentation of current trends and developments in contemporary artistic ceramics
- demonstration of the diversity of ceramic techniques
- establishing a space for discussion, meetings, education, exchange of ideas and experiences
- increase the status and potential of ceramic matter

The Royal Castle in Warsaw – The Tin-Roofed Palace at Plac Zamkowy in Warsaw serves as a museum and a representative space. It is an ideal place to hold the International Ceramics Sculpture Trienniale due to its reputation, historical significance and infrastructure.
The Academy of Fine Arts in Warsaw

The Academy of Fine Arts in Warsaw (ASP Warsaw) is one of the most important fine arts universities in Poland. It is the excellent venue for the International Ceramics Sculpture Triennale Poland due to its prestigious position, rich educational resources and strong links with the local and international art community.
ICST
The Association of the International Ceramic Sculpture Triennial is the founder and host of the international ceramic sculpture competition and the exhibition of works shortlisted for the event by the same name.
The main focus of the Association activities is:
– promoting knowledge of contemporary, worldwide ceramic sculpture and stimulating creativity in this field of art
– promotion and support of cultural and social initiatives that highlight and support national and international activities in the field of ceramics
– promotion and support of education and training in ceramics
– promoting Polish and international ceramics
